A Midwinter Exploration into Soul Expression

Guided by Osher River Oriyah

Would you like to be creative and discover your unique voice this winter?

To activate your inner spring, with renewed energy and fun?

The "Eternal Song" movie, recently screened on Waiheke Island, has left impressions in the hearts of many who watched it. How can we live in a modern world and tend our indigenous heart?

It is a precious gift to be able to speak, sing and sound. It is a gift to cherish and use mindfully to create, bless and heal. Known as "The Beauty Way" in some indigenous cultures, it refers to a state of balance and harmony with ourselves, each other and the natural world.

Movement and dance are an integral part of the gift of voice.

We all have an indigenous heart which communicates through sound, movement, symbols and imagery. It is beyond a religion, or a specific practice. It is your own unique design and story. When we allow ourselves to genuinely explore our creative nature, we bathe ourselves with a 'medicine' that fosters our sense of presence and well-being.

While some women respond with excitement to the words "A Woman's Voice," others may feel uncomfortable with these words. They may invoke images of "being forced to speak," "having to stand in front of a crowd," "being pushed into something,"... All based on past memories.

Force has never been the way of the Feminine, the way of the indigenous heart. The course foundation is based on the way of Sacred Feminine. It is about anchoring the feminine power, not forcing. We will also address how to use our voice mindfully when strong emotions rise.

This course is unique and has been developed over many years of training, and healing PTSD, lack of energy, and frequent depression within herself. It braids indigenous wisdom (training with medicine women and elders), academic training (including a Master of Arts in Expressive Arts / Dance and Spiritual Healing), as well as her own journey of becoming the woman and the healer that she is.

The course has playful, insightful and nurturing aspects.

Energy Exchange: $290 for the 5 week course. If you can’t attend all 5 weeks, it is also possible to join some of the sessions. Please contact Osher via the link below to explore your options.

For an additional cost of $15 there is the option to go into the sauna prior to the session commencing at 5pm. This sauna session is a beautiful opportunity to connect in with other members of our community.
