Through movement, breath, pause and reflection, we create the space needed to hear our own truth. It’s when we step out of the noise, switch off the racing mind and drop into an embodied state that clarity naturally arises. 10am ~ Opening Sacred Sharing Circle with Cacao and Meditation
We gather as a collective to arrive, open the heart and begin visioning the year ahead. From this spacious, connected place we set our intentions, calling in clarity as we drop into the body and soften the mind.10.30am ~ Embodied Movement Practice
We move in ways that awaken our inner fire and encourage expansion. Through intuitive, flowing, heart-led movement we begin melting away stagnant energy and reconnecting to our natural radiance. We dance our way from the thinking mind, into the body - a way of listening to the wisdom within as we move beyond thought and into embodied truth.12pm ~ Lunch.
A nourishing seasonal meal, made with fresh ingredients that are locally sourced and organic where possible, to replenish the body and restore vitality.1pm ~ Breathwork.
Here we journey with the breath to quieten the prefrontal cortex, soften the noise of the mind and deepen into intuitive clarity. We weave in a subtle yoga nidra inspired element within the breathwork to support deep rest, spaciousness and receptivity. As the breath leads us inward, tension dissolves, insights surface and the body becomes a gateway to the inner landscape.2.30pm ~ Reflection, Journalling and Visioning.
A gentle pause to integrate what has been stirred, moved or revealed. Through guided reflection and intention-focused journalling, we anchor the insights that arise when we give ourselves permission to slow down and listen.3pm ~ Seasonal refreshments and treats.
3.30pm ~ Contrast Therapy Session.
A powerful practice of meeting yourself fully. The ice bath brings you into pure present awareness while helping to regulate the nervous system and reduce inflammation, which is linked to many chronic health conditions. This is followed by an infrared sauna session to support radiant skin, circulation, metabolic vitality and systemic renewal. If you feel called, you may return to the cold once more to activate brown fat - the metabolically active tissue that helps stabilise blood sugar, support the heart and stoke overall vitality.5pm ~ Closing Circle.
We come together to integrate, ground and honour the journey of the day. This final moment of reflection allows you to gently seal your intentions and carry forward the clarity you’ve cultivated, leaving behind anything that no longer feels aligned.Please note:
This itinerary is a guide only and may shift slightly depending on the natural flow of the day, particularly the opening circle where sharing times can vary. We will always ensure the day is complete by 5.30pm to support those catching the 6pm ferry home. For deeper rest and integration, we highly recommend booking a night or two on Waiheke to extend your experience. -
Begin with heart‑opening cacao meditation, awaken your radiance through embodied dance, journey inward with transformative breathwork, meet yourself fully in a guided cold immersion, and renew body and mind in a rejuvenating infrared sauna. Nourishing wholefood lunch and seasonal refreshments will be provided to support your vitality and integration throughout the day.

Just bring yourself, dressed in comfortable loose clothing to practice yoga in and a water bottle. All yoga mats and props, plus towels for the sauna and ice bath, will be provided.

Why not fully immerse yourself in the Sandhana experience and add on a stay prior to, and/or, after the retreat, to fully rest, rejuvenate and receive. There are three rooms to choose from and they will book out so make sure you get in quickly.

Prices range from $250 to $300 for single occupancy, and it’s an additional $100 if you’re sharing a room with a friend or partner (so $350 to $400 between the two of you). This includes a nourishing dinner and breakfast the next morning, as well as the use of the amenities (sauna, cold plunge and hot tub) during your stay.

AUTUMN - EARTH
The earth element is the grounding, stabilising force during times of change. As the yang energy completes its expression and the yin flows in, it is the time to nourish the roots, the foundations of what has been built over the past season. This is a time for introspection and assessment of what is aligned and what we can let go of. This is a chance to be held and nurtured through this process.
WINTER - WATER
As the waters still and freeze over during the cold winter months, it is the perfect time to pause, contemplate and reflect. Nourishing ourselves at this time of year sets the scene for the year ahead. Inspiration often comes from the stillness and by giving our bodies the support they need we are able to flourish as the season shift to yang once more. It’s time to cosy up and rest.
SPRING - AIR
As the dark days start to turn lighter and become longer, the winds bring the season of spring. The transformation of yin to yang through rebirth. This seasons inspires force and determination, as the seeds which we’ve sown start letting themselves be seen. It is the time to start working with the vibrant energy moving through us, via the air we breath, and also a chance to detoxify the body of all that has accumulated over the last year.
